چکیده

ETRI Journal, Volume 30, Number 2, April 2008 In this paper, we describe the fabrication of 3.5-inch QCIF active matrix organic light emitting display (AMOLED) panels driven by thin film transistors, which are produced by an ultra-low-temperature polycrystalline silicon process on plastic substrates. The over all processing scheme and technical details are discussed from the viewpoint of mechanical stability and display performance. New ideas, such as a new triple-layered metal gate structure to lower leakage current and organic layers for electrical passivation and stress reduction are highlighted. The operation of a 3.5-inch QCIF AMOLED is also demonstrated.

P-24: High-Temperature (250°C) Amorphous-Silicon TFT’s On Clear Plastic Substrates

Amorphous silicon (a-Si) thin film transistors (TFT’s) were fabricated on free-standing, clear plastic substrates with a maximum process temperature of up to 250°C. An a-Si TFT backplane for active matrix OLED (AMOLED) application was also made on such substrates. The performance of both the TFT’s and the AMOLED backplane are excellent. These results will enable the fabrication of flexible AMLC...

AM backplane for AMOLED

Active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) displays are considerably attractive for high brightness, high efficiency and fast response time. Active matrix employing thin Film Transistors (TFTs) allows OLED displays to be larger in size, higher in resolution and lower in power consumption than passive matrix. Especially, low temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) TFT employing excim...

Towards Flexible Full-color Active Matrix Organic Light-emitting Displays: Dry Dye Printing for Oled Integration and 280°c Amorphous-silicon Thin-film Transistors on Clear Plastic Substrates

The goal of this thesis is to achieve flexible full color AMOLED displays on clear plastic substrates using high temperature amorphous-silicon TFT’s. Dry dye-printing and solvent-enhanced dye diffusion were used to fabricate side-by-side red, green and blue organic light emitting device (OLED) pixels. The technique was then used to make combined polymer/small molecule devices, in which the prin...
